It may be time to reconsider what water is really for.
The water in our oceans is precious, but it’s also vital.
Water is a critical resource for life and the livelihoods of millions of people around the world.
So it’s a strange disconnect when the very people who depend on the water for their health and well-being—the people who live in cities—are told that they can’t be water conscious.
A new video titled “The Water of the World,” released on Friday, argues that the water that comes out of the tap can have a negative impact on our health and the environment.
“If you drink water from a tap, you’re basically going to get arsenic, mercury, and cadmium in your body,” explained the narrator in the video.
“You’re also going to breathe it in and it’s going to be in your lungs.
And it can even make you sick.”
In the video, the narrator explains that there are many types of tap water in the United States.
Some have bacteria that can be dangerous, while others have things that can’t.
“There’s one type that has the most mercury and cadtium and arsenic, but then there’s another one that’s really good for your teeth,” he said.
And the water being added to the tap has to come from somewhere.
While the video claims to have sourced all the water in America, the United Nations has called on the US to stop adding new water sources to its aquifers.
On Thursday, President Trump said he would make the U.S. the first nation to stop using tap water from foreign countries.
Water, Trump added, is the lifeblood of the economy, but the US cannot use our water to benefit foreign countries like China or India.
There are plenty of water issues to deal with.
What do you think of the video?
