By Stephanie O’BrienPublished Feb. 22, 2018 11:11:00A new plan to turn the crumbling ruins of Agra’s crumbling City Development Corporation into urban parks has been unveiled.
Agra City, a former city that was the site of a huge factory in 1893, has been struggling to rebuild since the death of former mayor Bhaskar Sajjan in January 2017.
The project, to be unveiled today at the International Festival of Urban Art in New Delhi, is a collaboration between the city and its partner, Agra Development Corporation, which is a private company.
The city is working with the Agra Urban Preservation Society, a partnership between Agra and Agra World Trade Organization, to work with the society to develop the plan.
The first phase of the project, dubbed the “Agra Development Park”, is set to start this fall.
It will be a large-scale green space, with public and private space set up on a 1.2-hectare plot.
It is expected to attract more than 1 million visitors a year.
The next phase of this plan, called the “Civic Plaza”, is scheduled to open in 2019 and will include parks and trails, playgrounds, and a plaza where residents can gather to enjoy a picnic, meet friends, or play games.
The plans also call for the removal of garbage and debris from the site, along with landscaping and public amenities.
In the coming years, the city will continue to work on the plan, but the work will not be done by the Agreas city, said Ajay Sharma, Agreasant Development Commissioner, Agras.
“We are working towards bringing Agra to a point where it is fully capable of becoming a City Development City, and that will not happen by the time this project is finished.”
The Agreasy project will be an extension of a larger initiative, called Agreatic City, which was launched in 2018.
It involves more than 50,000 residents who are residents of the village of Agreedy, who are trying to develop Agreasey as a village, with parks, cultural facilities, and public space.
The city will work with Agready residents to identify areas that could benefit from parklets and trails.
The Agres are hopeful that the project will lead to a brighter future for Agra.
“The Agra community has been very supportive of this project.
The work is in our hearts, and we want to do it right.
This is our opportunity to make Agreasis a city of the future,” Sharma said.
