In our new series, we ask our readers to vote for their favorite cities for carillon development.
The winner of the poll will be selected by us to receive our annual prize of $100,000.
We will select three cities to develop into carillon cities and then reveal the winners of the other three cities at the end of the year.
This year, we selected Birmingham, Ala., which was our first pick in our poll and has developed a thriving downtown and the second-best auto-related job market in the nation.
In our previous Carillon City Awards, Birmingham won the prestigious award in 2013 and 2014.
